I sold the largest independently held specialty pharmacy in Mental Health and Substance Use Disorder (SUD) over two years ago. At 37 years old, I exited at an unheard-of valuation—built on hard work, tenacity, and the will to never give up, along with the wisdom to know when to get out. Since then, I founded Workshop Strategy, a company whose sole purpose is to help other entrepreneurs, business owners, and larger companies excel and grow.
The idea is simple—take everything I know, from founding a startup with zero revenue to building a $300 million powerhouse—the largest focused specialty pharmacy in the nation- use it to help others.
The Common Trait of Success
I’ve had intense, deep-diving, and focused discussions with people from all walks of life. The one thing I’ve learned that every successful person has in common? The tenacity to not give up—to keep pushing forward and turn their ideas into thriving businesses or scale their companies into powerhouses.
What Holds People Back
The biggest obstacle most people face is simple—willpower. Many folks have groundbreaking ideas but don’t put their foot on the gas. They don’t know how to get from where they are to where they want to be. Instead, they stay stuck in a revolving door of daily routines, unable to unleash their full potential.
Where Workshop Strategy Comes In
That’s where my company comes into play. We’ve helped businesses grow, successfully exit to private equity, pivot, thrive, or turn things around when they were on the brink of bankruptcy.
I’ve heard people compare business to poker—fold or go all in. I think it can be that, or a million other ways to play your hand. But how would you know the right move if you haven’t had practice? You’ve been in this one company (with this one set of cards) your whole life. No one teaches you what to do next, where to go, who to talk to, or what steps to take.
There’s no single formula, no textbook strategy. What matters is where you are now and where you want to go. Workshop Strategy will help you get there. I got there, and so can you!
